2006 Beijing International Qin music Week
2006 was the 3rd year since the UNESCO proclaimed the Art of Qin Music to be one of the Masterpieces of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. 2006 also is the Centennial Birthday of Qin Master Wu Jinglue. For further inheritance and promotion of the Qin music culture, The Central Conservatory of Music, China Conservatory of Music and Chinese Academy of Arts have decided to held the 2006 Beijing Week of Qin Music Culture -- With The Memory of Qin Master Wu Jinglue’s Centennial Birthday on October 16th to 20th. This event included a symposium, concerts, Qin musician’s gathering performances, workshops, multimedia seeing and hearing lecture, exhibitions etc. Although Friends of Guqin did not assist, we sent a short text about activities done, and about future projects as well.
